Mona is a creature that came out of physical therapy excersises performed in the woods. The piece started while at home recovering from a torn hamstring. It expanded when I returned to the studio and made a series of drawings and collages relating the experience of having behaved like a wounded animal. These pieces began my interest in isolating the legs and feet as a point of contact with ground. While the legs support it, the body is allowed to float and. become abstract.
